RainDrop Systems
RainDrop Systems, a new company that makes non-traditional foundation repair products, chose to work with AF Creative for their logo and website design, which just launched! The logo design was inspired by their first product, an actual “do-it-yourself drip irrigation system” for the foundation repair and maintenance process.
When it came to the website design and development they decided to have the site built as custom Content Management System so that they were able to build each of the sub pages on their own, as needed. This was a great solution for the company because they save costs in the long run by not having to pay for menial website content update fees. They now can update new product releases, industry related articles, or any other basic content on the site on their own with the click of a few buttons! Check out their site here!
Old Pecan Street Festival New Website
I was introduced to the Old Pecan Street Festival Team this last year by Brandi Clark with the Austin EcoNetwork. They asked me to work with them to redesign their website. Not only would this be a facelift of bright colors and fun icons to represent the festival’s personality but a more structured online resource and tool for people who are interested in attending or being a part of the festival itself.
Festival atttendees can find even more information about the Festival and what it has to offer:
- Links to bus routes
- Vendor lists
- Up to date performance schedules to view
- Create your own schedule with sched.org
- Read or share testimonials
- View media
- Follow the Old Pecan Street Festival on Twitter as they begin to tweet live information during the festival itself. See which stages have the best performances minute by minute!
We built the website as a CMS (Custom Management System) using the WordPress Software, which allows the Old Pecan Street Festival team to use this easy tool to make updates to the content at any time on their own! This was a fun project and will hopefully bring the festival and its attendees together! Have you been to the Old Pecan Street Festival in Austin, Texas before? Do you live in Austin and are looking for fun events that support the local economy? If so, go check out the new site, share your testimonial and get a sneak peak of the upcoming Fall Festival’s performances!!
Talks Clay Shirky: How social media can make history
Great talk by Clay Shirky discussing how social media has revolutionized the way we communicate, thus making history. How has social media affected you, whether personally or professionally? Would love to hear about your story.
Keep Up With AF Creative…
I’m already coming up on my SIXTH MONTH ANNIVERSARY of doing business as AF Creative. I’ve been thinking about ways to improve, keep people in touch, and spreading the word about the professional services I can bring to the table. I’ll be working on designing and developing my COMPLETE portfolio website once I can catch a break from client deadlines… I’ll keep you updated!
I’ve got some fun clients with really cool projects that I can’t wait to share.
I’ve just added a small simple update to my temporary website. Click on the top left hand corner “note” to subscribe to my email newsletter. I’m going to be sending either monthly or bimonthly email updates on:
- current projects
- what’s new with my business
- what I’m learning/doing professionally (perhaps personally also)
- ways to utilize design/creativity in everyday life
- plus any creative thoughts or ideas I may want to share with everyone

Support Team Preddy!
If there’s one thing that Andi, my roommate and friend, and I see eye to eye on is our unconditional love and support we have for our family. Her sister, Kelly Preddy, is competing this this year’s Ironman Coeur d’ Alene! What an amazing once in a lifetime accomplishment. It’s an intense commitment that requires complete devotion to for at least the year prior to the race. I had the honor of designing the “Team Preddy” support shirts that anyone can order from Andi.
It has quite the inspiring quote on the back “What your mind can conceive, and your heart can believe, your body can achieve!” Here’s a sneak peak at the design, but visit the Team Preddy Blog for more information about placing your order.
Origami Bunny on Receipts of Money
Check out the print on the back of this Puma receipt… it’s steps on how to make an origami bunny. My roommate saved it for me because I have a rabbit, but also because she know’s I’m a nerdy graphic designer and would probably find it interesting. Way to catch attention Puma. Probably the only receipt most people won’t throw away.
